“I Am You, You Are Me”, sees Ricky Lee Gordon working once again through a collage of different images which, taken together, once again produce a unique and great reflection. Here, the figure of the horses in particular, represents the thematic 'engine' of the work. The choice is not by no means casual, the idea is to amalgamate the figure of wild horses with the urban environment surrounding, as if they belong and at the same time disappear, facing the city. The animals represent a serene and at the same time powerful, harmonious presence, and they appear interdependent and interconnected. The figure of the human being is represented by the presence of the woman in the left corner, with the jacket on ideal skin connection with the horse's skin. This, like all dress and fashion, has a sort second skin, thought of as individualism and self-expression, when in reality it is part of a subtle form of membership and homologation. Part of a community, a kind of tribe. The author returns to reflect, with this contrast, on the differences and on what man it artificially creates so as not to feel excluded, all elements that do nothing but take us further away 'one from the other. Nothing else to add, to accompany our text a rich selection of shots with some phases of the making of and images of the final result.
